The Grant Thornton Rimess name change process, launched in the second half of 2015, was completed in December when our Lithuanian affiliate started operating under the new business name UAB Grant Thornton Baltic. In Estonia, Rimess, founded in 1992, changed to Grant Thornton Baltic in August 2015, and the Latvian affiliate changed over in October.
The main reason for the name change is the desire to unite our enterprises operating in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania under a single name reflecting the activity in the Baltic states. We thus chose the new name of Grant Thornton Baltic.
Grant Thornton Baltic is a locally owned and operated company, meaning that we have a thorough knowledge of the particularities of each country and market and can respond in a rapid and flexible manner. The ever-closer cooperation between the enterprises based in the three Baltics allows us to provide even better service to clients doing business in more than one Baltic state.
The Grant Thornton in our name refers to the fact that since 2012, we have been members of the international association of audit and business advisory companies, Grant Thornton, and thus enjoy advantages stemming from the global cooperation network.
The adoption of the new business name did not result in any changes to the contact details for our staff in the Baltics or company addresses.
