Grant Thornton Baltic once again awards scholarships to outstanding economics students

Grant Thornton Baltic continued its cooperation with Tallinn University of Technology and the University of Tartu during the 2025/2026 academic year by supporting outstanding economics students with scholarships in both the autumn and spring semesters. During the academic year, four scholarships worth €2,500 each were awarded to students who stood out for their excellent academic performance, entrepreneurial mindset, and strong motivation.

The recipients of the 2025 autumn semester scholarships were:

Karol-Liis Loik was recognised for her outstanding academic results, strong analytical thinking, and active contribution to university and professional activities. The evaluation committee highlighted her well-founded motivation, interest in economic processes, and clear commitment to continuous self-development.

Atus Biekša, recipient of the TalTech scholarship, stood out as a determined, entrepreneurial, and hardworking student. The committee highly valued his ability to successfully balance studies, work, hobbies, and personal development. His broad perspective and diverse interests were also particularly noted.

Jaagup Vana, who received the University of Tartu scholarship, distinguished himself through exceptional initiative and excellent academic achievements. Alongside his studies, he has been actively involved in entrepreneurship, marketing projects, and student organisations. According to the committee, his activities reflect a strong work ethic, determination, and a desire to combine practical experience with research-based knowledge.

Merly Käblik, selected as the TalTech scholarship recipient, stood out for her entrepreneurial spirit and analytical mindset. The evaluation committee was impressed by her strong financial knowledge, excellent communication skills, and desire to contribute more broadly to society. Her consistency, collaborative attitude, and strong drive for self-development were also highlighted.

Awarding scholarships has become an important tradition for Grant Thornton Baltic. We believe that supporting young talent and cooperating with Estonian universities contributes to the development of strong future professionals and the broader business environment.

The committee also included Gaily Kuusik, Partner and Head of Outsourcing at Grant Thornton Baltic, and Tarmo Rahkama, Partner, Sworn Auditor, and Audit Manager.

Grant Thornton Baltic awards the scholarships in cooperation with the Tallinn University of Technology Development Fund and the University of Tartu Foundation.
