Growing Together in the Community 2019

Grant Thornton Estonia to help Estonian families in difficulties together with a local charity organization Aarete Laegas MTÜ as part of the Grant Thornton global corporate social responsibility event on 19-20 september.

During summer, people from Grant Thornton Estonia’s Tallinn and Tartu offices gathered together clothes, shoes, toys and homeware to send the collected items to those in need with the help of a local charity organization Aarete Laegas MTÜ.

Aarete Laegas MTÜ is a charity that operates a sorting center, from where most of the goods will sooner or later be taken to the homes of people and families in need, and a charity shop, where people in financial difficulties can buy clothes, shoes, and household items at a much lower price than in regular stores, while also supporting the activities of the non-profitable organization.

"It's easy to forget that there are people and families who can't afford the things they need on a daily basis, such as clothing and footwear. If we find a way to help, we'll be happy to do so! I am pleased to see that social responsibility is a priority for our people and thus for the company as a whole." said Marge Litvinova, Human Resources Manager at Grant Thornton Baltic, about the project.

“Growing Together in the community,” is part of a Grant Thornton global initiative to help communities unlock their potential for growth in over 130 countries in which Grant Thornton operates in.
