„RECOGNIZED 2025“: La Famiglia and Celebrating Our People

At the beginning of January, we took a moment to celebrate the achievements of the past year and to recognise colleagues whose contribution in 2025 truly stood out. The evening was inspired by the theme La Famiglia, with guests invited to an Italian-style family dinner, as if hosted by a traditional padrino.

La Famiglia symbolised the values that matter most to us at Grant Thornton Baltic every day: collaboration, responsibility, mutual support and noticing one another.
The highlight of the evening was the Recognized 2025 awards ceremony, where every recognition was based on colleagues’ observations and thoughtful, personal feedback.

The following colleagues received recognition.

Leader of the Year: Mart Nõmper

Mart is a leader whose impact goes far beyond numbers and processes. Under his leadership, the audit department has made a significant leap forward, both in performance and in team culture. Mart is a leader who is present, who truly listens, and who gives direction in a way that makes people feel supported and valued.

Colleague of the Year: Marriel Sopp

Marriel is a colleague whose presence is felt even before she enters the room. Her positive energy, sincerity and natural ability to bring people together create a sense that everything is possible. Working alongside her feels easy, natural and motivating.

Internal Project of the Year: Grant Thornton Baltic Managers’ Conference 2025

The Baltic Managers’ Conference received highly positive feedback for its content, organisation and the opportunity to meet colleagues from Latvia and Lithuania in person.

Client Project of the Year: Eesti Energia Takeover Report Review (Delisting of Enefit Green)

Project team: Artur Suits, Erik Suits, Janno Greenbaum, Mart Nõmper, Andrei Špakovs, Dmitry Mishchenko

This project was recognised for its scope and impact and brought significant public and media attention to Grant Thornton Baltic.

Support Employee of the Year: Marriel Sopp

In addition to being named Colleague of the Year, Marriel also received the title of Support Professional of the Year. Her contribution stands out for its breadth and impact. Her work in marketing, events and internal communication directly supports the company’s daily operations and visibility.

Junior Accountant of the Year: Mario Mägi

Mario is a friendly and helpful colleague who can always be approached, whether the question is work-related or technical. His calm manner, openness and desire to grow have made him a valued team member.

Accountant of the Year: Liisa Tiit

Colleagues highlight Liisa’s thoroughness, sense of responsibility and courage to take on complex topics. She is not afraid of new systems or challenging configurations and continuously looks for ways to work more efficiently. In addition to her own responsibilities, Liisa is always willing to support others and contribute to wider projects.

Kriki stands out for her genuine interest in the audit profession and her strong desire to develop. She approaches her work with care and dedication and is always ready to share her knowledge with junior colleagues.

Audit Project Manager of the Year: Mari Lehtsaar

Mari is a project manager whose calm and well-considered working style creates confidence for both teams and clients. She always makes time to support colleagues and is often the person people turn to for advice.

Audit Manager of the Year: Anni Vaiksaar

Anni’s contribution to developing the audit department’s training programme has been extensive. Under her leadership, a clear structure and plan have been created that support both new and experienced colleagues and make training more systematic and effective.

Accounting Group Manager of the Year: Piret Palm-Nagel

Piret is a leader who successfully balances daily work, projects and people management. Colleagues value her calm and balanced leadership style and her willingness to support others.

Advisor of the Year: Eve Lille-Tõns
