Grant Thornton Baltic has a long-standing tradition of contributing to causes that matter to society. And what could matter more than health? That is why, this year, we are continuing to support the Hille Tänavsuu Cancer Treatment Foundation the Gift of Life and Peaasi, an NGO dedicated to promoting mental health.
“Just as with anything else, consistency matters when it comes to doing good. Knowing that our support is not a one-off contribution, but a long-term commitment gives charitable organisations peace of mind and a sense of security,” said Mati Nõmmiste, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Baltic, referring to the firm’s long-standing cooperation with the Cancer Treatment Foundation the Gift of Life and Peaasi.
In addition to providing financial support to charitable organisations, our employees have also contributed their time. Last year, for example, we took part in World Cleanup Day in North Tallinn and cleaned up a stretch of beach in Kopli. This September, we are once again planning to join a cleanup initiative in Tallinn. We have also collected food and clothing for families in need and donated blood.
“A good deed – whether it means providing financial support or contributing your time and effort – brings a warm feeling to both the recipient and the giver,” added Mati Nõmmiste.
