Grant Thornton Baltic recognized as a "Blooming" Organization by Peaasi.ee

For the third year in a row, Peaasi.ee has recognized organizations that value and support mental health in the workplace. The Mentally Healthy Organization Label was created to acknowledge employers who take deliberate steps to ensure their people’s wellbeing and balance at work.

This year, the recognition was given in four categories:

  • Emerging (Tärkaja / Ärkaja) – the first step, where the organization has started to consciously pay attention to mental health.
  • Growing (Sirguja) – the organization has implemented several mental health initiatives and continues to progress.
  • Blooming (Õitseja) – the organization has built a strong and visible culture that supports mental wellbeing — like a plant in full bloom, visible, mature, and inspiring.
  • Fruiting (Viljuja) – the highest level, where the organization not only supports its people but also shares its knowledge and good practices with others.

We are proud to share that Grant Thornton Baltic has been recognized in the “Blooming” category — a mark of appreciation for our continuous efforts to support our employees’ mental wellbeing. 🌸

Why we applied for the label

At Grant Thornton Baltic, we consistently invest in creating a workplace where our people feel good — both mentally and physically. Supporting employee wellbeing and balance is not a separate project for us; it is part of our company culture.

We sincerely believe that mental wellbeing is the foundation of business success. A healthy and caring environment fosters motivation, trust, and job satisfaction.

Supporting mental health at work means:

  • open and trusting communication;
  • conscious leaders who notice and listen;
  • flexible working arrangements;
  • time to rest;
  • andaccess to professional help through our partners Confido and Ojaveere Therapy Center.

Developing caring leaders

Over the past year, we have taken several steps to make sure our people feel supported and valued. A major focus has been on leadership development and strengthening our leadership culture.

In cooperation with Kaido Pajumaa, we conducted two leadership programs focused on developing from a specialist into a leader and improving feedback culture. These programs provided practical tools that our managers now use in their daily work — and these positive changes are also reflected in our People Voice survey results.

We also founded an internal Leaders’ Club, where managers meet every few months to share experiences and discuss leadership topics. We value all our leaders who are committed to personal growth and to becoming better people managers.

Supporting mental and physical wellbeing

We regularly organize webinars on various topics — from sleep and nutrition to time management and stress relief.

Our wellbeing package includes:

  • a paid health day,
  • cooperation with Confido and Ojaveere Therapy Center, offering employees access to therapy at the company’s expense,
  • a daily five-minute exercise break at 11 a.m., helping everyone reset and recharge, and
  • participation in Peaasi.ee’s Vitamin Campaign, which inspired our own “GTB Wellness Tips Book”, featuring our colleagues’ best ideas for healthy living and mental balance.

A flexible and trusting work culture

At GTB, our work culture is built on trust and flexibility. Our people can shape their work in ways that suit their lives — be it partial remote work, combining studies with work, or part-time arrangements for parents with small children.

We also regularly collect employee feedback, and it’s encouraging to see how many of our people contribute thoughtful ideas. In the latest People Voice survey, we received 332 responses — more than half of which included detailed and constructive comments.

Looking ahead

We aim to continue strengthening our caring culture and keeping mental health at the forefront of everything we do. Our focus remains on leadership development and employee growth, including the continuation of our internal trainer program to increase awareness and build leadership capacity across GTB.

We truly believe that supporting mental health is not a campaign — it’s part of everyday life and work. Together, we are committed to making our workplace inspiring, safe, and supportive.
